THE 5FINGER PRAYER

FIVE PRAYER HAND

This is a 5 simple and effective steps you can adopt as part of your prayer bulletins. in situations where you do not know where to start praying from (which do occur at times), pray based on the following. Spent enough quality time praying for the salvation of others and the blessings that follows will not pass you by…

1. THE THUMB:

Your thumb is nearest to you, hence begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, a “sweet duty.” C. S. Lewis once said,

2. THE POINTING FINGER

The next finger is the pointing finger. It represents those who teach, instruct and heal, which includes teachers, doctors and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3.THE TALLEST FINGER

Next to the pointing finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. When you go to God in prayers, kindly say a Prayer for the leaders of government, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God’s guidance and leading in every decision they make/ take.

4. THE RING FINGER

The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day in and day out for” Jehovah Rapha- the Lord that healeth thee” (Ex. 15:25-26)” is ever ready to hear your prayers and to heal the sick.

5. THE LITTLE FINGER

And lastly comes our little finger; the smallest finger of all. This  is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, “The least shall be the greatest among you.” Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups above, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for your needs more effectively.

YOU CAN PRAY THIS AS A FAMILY AND ALSO USE IT TO HELP YOUR CHILDREN PRAY ON THEIR OWN
